Sunday March 15th, 2015

Ok I know it's been a while since I had a proper post but I don't know where the time went.  February was a cold windy month to say the least and maybe I went into blog hibernation! LOL  Anyway I've sorted through a bunch of pics to give you a condensed snap shot of the last month and a half.  Even though it's condensed its still pretty long so throw out your glass and grab the bottle, and spin the top off ... it's going to be a long dusty trail.

Well as I said it was a cold month and we got just enough snow to keep blowing around and causing drifts everywhere.  I had 5' drifts between the house and barn on 3 occasions. This is just one of the many early morning blow jobs I got.

Graydon loves a old Dinosaur costume that we had.  Loves running around and saying ROOOOAAAARRR!

Here I am taking Graydon for a rip around the house on the "momobile"

Addison started taking Piano Lessons so here I am showing how the paino should be played ... or not LOL

Graydon showing us both up.

Our V Day sugar rush.

Addie ready for a hockey game.  She's improved a lot this year!

When the kiddo's are not bugging each other there cuddling up together.  I guess it's a love hate relationship.

Moved the cows outside and built a larger feeder for them and a new addition to the farm ... (Pic comming up)

Addie helping me make some boxes to put around the pigs water buckets so they can't dump them out.  They were dumping them and had about 4" of Ice on the floor as a result.
I have a love hate relationship with them. LOL

Addie and some wavy hair after taking a braid out.

Addie's class celebrated 100 day after 100 days of school this year.  She had to dress up like what she thought she would look like after 100 years.  Surprisingly enough no one came to school in a coffin LOL.

Well February wasn't without any lessons ... an unnamed individual left the water hydrant hose in a bucket of water and froze our water supply in the barn.  It was a good lesson for us all and after 2 days of hauling water I got the pipe thawed with out any damage.  Whew dodged that bullet.

Our new addition - Wooly.  She came to us pregnant.  Not sure when she'll calf but the guy thought within 2 months or so.  I've been keeping a close eye on her and her udders haven't really started to fill up so I think we still have a little time ... time will tell!

The threesome eating ... Shirley back left, Molly front left, and Wooly on the right.

On Men's weekend I didn't make it up to Tomiko for the annual event due to time restraints.  You see I don't get any vacation until a year and I worked the Friday afternoon shift and back on days Monday.  I know it's a poor excuse but I couldn't justify the drive for one night.  I'll save my trip for a time when I can stay longer.  I know where's the old Ritchie.  Anyway to help drown my sorrows our good friends Pinchy and Letitia and family came up for the weekend from Wheatley to visit.

Here's there son Brody being a cowboy!

Brody, Owen and Addie posing

Pinchy helped me finish a door for the side of the barn that I had started that week.  I wanted it for a wind break for the cows so it was a little warmer for them.  Maybe Tomiko Tina could make some blankets for them? LOL

A cold morning.
Kiddo's love riding on the sleigh behind the ol' ET 250.

Well there's me and my Mini Me

A pic of the homestead from the road on a blustery day.

We headed into London one night for Leanne's good friend D'Arcy's 40th.  Had a great time.  Here's the inseparable 4. L to R Pete, Leanne, D'Arcy, Daniellia

At the bar with the birthday boy!

Well the beginning of March I put Carlos our rooster with the hens ... see if I can get them to hatch some chicks for spring.  I will be ordering some chicks to raise for our freezer this month as well.

Addie modeling her favourite coat!

Uh Oh yep again.  Since the repair from the last freeze thawed the ground out around the hydrant it created an Ice lined well which filled up around the pipe and froze so the hydrant couldn't drain and intern froze again.  Another 2 days of hauling water from the house and I got'er going again.

Addie Played Goalie for one of her games.  She did Great!

Tina where's my Blankets?!?!

Moved the pigs into the bigger pen and put them all together.  Hoping Fred can earn his keep and get'er done with the girls.

Treated the cows with a Dewormer so they are ready for spring.  It's also gets ride of fleas and external parasites.

Addie in her stripped out fit.

Addie and Graydon built a snowman all by themselves.  While they were walking it over to show me it fell in a hole. LOL

Graydon stole the nose from the snowman and came in like cool hand luke eating it.  Addie was not impressed.

A nice sun set after a cool day.

Warning Below Is Graphic Images - Must be Over 18 to Scroll down!

Well some men bring home the bacon and others make at home.  Fred showing me how he makes it. LOL

The other girl was jealous so she joined in.  Never thought I'd have a threesome in the barn! LOL

Well we have our first Boarder!  Welcome Willow to R&L Stables!  Willow is a 4 year old mare.  Dillon has really taking a liking to her!

Well that gets you up to speed.  It has warmed up and spring is on the brink of arriving.  I've tapped a few maple trees here and a few at my neighbours so we'll see how that goes.  I'll try and keep you a little more up to date!  Until then Cheers!
